HYGIENE AND GDPR


Due to the current situation, we are providing you with the following hygiene concept and applicable GDPR regulations. Of course, we are always happy to answer further questions from our guests at any time.

HYGIENE CONCEPT

Lobby:
  • Disinfectant dispensers available
  • Masks must be worn to enter/access the area (hotel rule)
  • No or few seating areas, observe social distancing
  • Avoid large groups
  • Do not provide magazines, newspapers, etc.
  • No service in the lobby
  • Distancing reminders at the reception desk
  • Plexiglas walls between guests and employees
Check-in

Observe minimum 1.5 m distancing between guest and employees

Observe minimum 1.5 m spacing between multiple guests at the reception area

  • Room keys and cards disinfected
  • Contactless payment available whenever possible
  • Disinfect pens after use by guests, or provide pen to the guest
  • Provide masks for guests who do not have their own
  • Regularly disinfect reception counter
  • Invoices sent online when possible
  • Candy and fruit dishes, etc. removed

Personal treatment of guests

  • No handshakes
  • Communicate with a minimum 1.5m distancing
  • If it is not possible to maintain the minimum distance, wear masks
  • Communicate rules of conduct by posting them in the entryway area
  • Cough/sneeze into elbow
  • Wash hands thoroughly and often
Elevator
  • Observe 1.5 m minimum distancing. 1 person or household may use the elevator at a time
  • Offer stairways as an alternative
  • Regularly disinfect elevator buttons
  • Securely post rules of conduct on the elevators
  • Whenever possible, place waiting / distancing marks in front of elevators
  • Provide disinfectant on the ground floor in front of the elevator
On hotel floors
  • Assign housekeeping staff their “own” floor or set of rooms if possible
  • Frequently disinfect door handles, light switches, and stairway railings
  • Cover utensils (soap, shampoo, towels, etc.) on the service trolley
  • Continuously ventilate corridors whenever possible
  • Have housekeeping clean door handles on room doors frequently with disinfectant
In room
  • Frequently ventilate rooms, especially after cleaning
  • Omit interim cleaning if possible for guests staying multiple days
  • Remove throw blankets, decorative pillows, etc.
  • Regularly disinfect the surfaces of all items used daily
  • Provide hand disinfectant and disposable gloves for employees
  • Employees should not clean the rooms in pairs if possible
  • Use disposable gloves, wear masks on hotel floors, but not while cleaning rooms
  • Reduce number of rooms to be cleaned per employee if possible, since disinfecting takes more time
  • Critical areas like door handles, light switches, phones, remote controls, side tables, and bathrooms, in particular, must be cleaned with disinfectant
  • Remove catalogs, brochures, newspapers, and books from rooms
At breakfast
  • Individual breakfast at table
  • Coffee service in single portions if possible, otherwise in coffee pot
  • Disinfectant dispenser in front of the breakfast room
  • Set up tables to facilitate distancing, and adjust number of chairs
  • Guests accompanied to their table
  • Offer guests their own daily newspaper (for purchase)

Public bathrooms

  • Set up soap and disinfectant dispensers
  • No reusable hand towels, instead install hand towel dispensers
  • More frequent cleaning cycles
  • Post cleaning times, with signature by cleaning staff
  • Disinfect door handles and fittings
  • Block off every other urinal
  • Observe minimum distancing requirements
In hotel restaurant
  • Space guests at tables so they can always observe minimum distancing (except for among households)
  • Use all available areas and rooms to ensure the greatest possible distance between guests, even in low-traffic areas
  • Masks must be worn at counters and for service employees
  • Offering self-service buffets is prohibited
  • Do not place sugar, salt, or pepper shakers on tables, convert to single serve packaging whenever possible
  • Do not provide multi-page menus, use chalkboards and laminated menus as an alternative
  • Offer paper napkins instead of cloth
  • Whenever possible, offer plated meals instead of multiple plates for main course and side dishes, no service from common dishes at table
  • Wash/disinfect hands after removing plates and glasses, before touching other clean tableware
  • Contactless payment available whenever possible
  • Regularly disinfect cash register surfaces and card readers

If you would like to receive service from our hotel, we will collect the following information from you:

  • Last name, first name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Date and time you arrive at and depart from the hotel

If you do not consent to the collection of this data, we will not be able to serve you.

3. Purpose and legal basis for processing

Data is collected for the purpose of contact tracing in conjunction with Covid-19. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR, in conjunction with Sec. 6 para. 1 of the Coronavirus Ordinance.

4. Transmission of data to third parties

The aforementioned data is transmitted only to the responsible health authority for the purposes indicated above. Your data will be transmitted to third parties only in accordance with the above statutory regulations. It will not be used for advertising purposes.

5. Duration of storage

Data will be stored for three weeks after the last contact with you, and then destroyed.

6. Your rights as a data subject

As a data subject under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
